First Montrose Commons Neighborhood Association's next membership meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 21st, at 7 p.m., in the band room at HSPVA located at 4001 Stanford Street.  Alex Wukman, a Houston journalist and FMC resident, will be speaking to us about his recent article in Free Press Houston regarding The Mental Health Co-op, the for-profit business which has been housing a growing number of mentally ill patients in FMC.  You can find Wukman's piece at this link.

Also at our February meeting, we will be voting on the creation of two new positions on FMC's Board of Directors.  Specifically, the membership will vote on raising our Director of Security position to the board level, and will also vote on creating a Director of Events position for the purpose of organizing our National Night Out picnic, Holiday Party, and other FMC events.

Finally, we'll be presenting an update from the latest City of Houston CIP meeting regarding the ongoing saga of our neighborhood street reconstruction project.
