Thursday, April 15, 2010 - The City of Houston Planning Commission UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED the creation of the First Montrose Commons Historic District at its public meeting this afternoon.

The City's Legal Department and Planning Staff will now draft the Ordinance establishing First Montrose Commons Historic District as the City of Houston's Sixteenth Designated Historic District. The Ordinance will then be presented to City Council for a vote, likely later in May.

FMC Residents should be alert for announcemnt of this vote and those who are able should attend the Council Meeting on the day the vote is scheduled.
